Work

A place to think about work that doesn't ask you to do anything about it.

If you think for a living, the problem is rarely a lack of information. It’s that everything arriving has a next step attached.

Work is one question, and it isn’t about output. It doesn’t change while you’re there, so you can stay with it as long as you want.

You write your answer privately. Nobody sees it. When you set it down, your words stay on screen a while longer — long enough to actually read what you just wrote, which is often the useful part.

Then one line comes back.

That line will not tell you what to do. It doesn’t add a framework, suggest a next step, or point out what you’re missing. It only reflects back what’s already in what you wrote — usually naming the weight you were carrying without saying it directly.

And sometimes nothing comes back at all. When there’s nothing worth adding, Still says nothing. Silence is a real answer here, not a failure.

Nothing is saved. There’s no history, no trend, no report at the end of the month.

What it isn’t

Not a productivity tool. Not coaching. Not a place to plan.

No goals, no tasks, no metrics, no next steps. If you leave with an action item, something went wrong.

Who opens it

The founder who can’t tell if the week went well. The manager holding a decision that isn’t ready. Anyone who has been “processing it” for eleven days. People whose job is to think, on the days when thinking is the thing that’s hard.
